In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
