Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
