The EU could “act quickly and firmly” in response to what it calls “unwarranted” travel bans imposed by the US on five European individuals involved in fighting digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals that were at the heart of campaigns to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
